Barcloy Cottage

Barcloy Cottage

Taking Bookings from July 24 2010

Currently undergoing extensive renovation and due to open in July 2010, this traditional farm cottage was originally built for the farm’s dairy hand and his family in the early 1800’s.

Standing alone, Barcloy Cottage has it’s own garden to the back with a burn (stream) running by and a south facing patio to the front. We’ve lived in the cottage ourselves in the past and if the weather is good then this is the warmest spot on the farm – a real suntrap!

The cottage comprises an entry porch – ideal for muddy wellies, buckets and spades etc. There’s a spacious living area which will have a log burning stove, wooden floors and rugs, floor length curtains and will be furnished to a very high standard. The kitchen dining area with fully equiped and fitted kitchen will have a tiled floor throughout. There are to be two bedrooms, one double and one twin with wooden floors and rugs. The bathroom will be tiled throughout and have a wonderful state of the art walk in shower. To get a rough idea of the interior see pictures of Milk and Honey, add in your mind a log burning stove, sash windows and bags of atmosphere and you should get the general idea!

Open from July 24 2010
